Reviews and Ratings
I found the hotel to be conveniently located near Charleston Southern University with friendly and outgoing staff. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, though some areas seemed 'tired. ' The service was outstanding, especially in helping us during unexpected traffic delays. The dining experience was enjoyable, although I wished for more menu options. Overall, a good choice in North Charleston with a few minor drawbacks.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for two months while he was receiving treatment at Trident Medical Center, and although the room was well cared for and clean, we struggled with dust triggering our allergies. The location was convenient for our needs, but we found it inconvenient to return to a room with dust issues every afternoon.
My stay at Wingate By Wyndham was quite mixed. The rooms are large and modern, but the WiFi was temperamental. The hotel's location right across the street from Trident Medical Center was convenient for us as my husband was in the trauma unit. However, the service left much to be desired, and although the staff are outgoing, they failed to address the issues we faced. Despite these setbacks, the hotel's proximity to the highway and friendly staff were positives that stood out.
